This precision-cut vinyl overlay kit is designed to install over the factory-stamped tailgate letters found on 2017–2018 Raptor models. Each piece is pre-cut for clean alignment and installs directly over the existing raised lettering for a factory-style finish.

Every overlay is designed, test-fit, and produced in-house to ensure proper fitment and finish. If it doesn’t meet our standards during real-world installation testing, it doesn’t ship.

Installation Overview

Tools Recommended:
• Felt-edge squeegee
• Heat gun (or warm sunlight for post-heating)

Installation Type:
Dry installation only. Do not use water.

Surface Preparation:
Thoroughly clean the tailgate lettering surface prior to installation. Remove wax, dirt, and debris to ensure optimal adhesion. A clay bar treatment is recommended. Install between 65°F–90°F and avoid direct sunlight or extreme temperatures during application.

Application Steps:

1. Align each overlay piece using the inner edges and corners of the factory lettering as guides.

2. Once positioned, apply firm pressure starting from the center and working outward to remove air.

3. Go over the entire surface to ensure full adhesion.

4. Remove transfer tape carefully.

5. Post-heat with a heat gun or allow to sit in warm sunlight to activate adhesive fully.
