Dry Installation Guide

Choose the right conditions.
Install indoors or in a shaded, temperature-controlled location. Do not install in direct sunlight or on a hot taillight. The recommended installation temperature is approximately 65–72°F, although the film may be installed between approximately 65–90°F.

Clean the lens thoroughly.
Remove dirt, wax, oils, detailing products, and other contamination. Use a clay bar when necessary, then dry the surface completely with a clean microfiber towel.

Test the alignment.
Hold the overlay over the clear reverse-light section before removing the backing. Identify the factory edges and determine your starting position.

Begin the dry application.
Peel back a small portion of the liner and lightly anchor the overlay along one edge. Avoid pressing the entire piece into place until the alignment has been confirmed.

Apply with controlled pressure.
Use a felt-edge squeegee to work gradually across the overlay. Apply consistent, overlapping strokes to reduce trapped air and wrinkles.

Conform the film carefully.
Use gentle heat only when needed to help the vinyl follow the lens contours. Avoid overheating or overstretching the transparent film.

Post-heat the perimeter.
Once installed, apply moderate heat around the edges and recessed areas while pressing them firmly into place. Allow the lens to cool, then inspect the complete perimeter.
