Want to make your Outback truly your own? This kit covers the face of your existing OUTBACK lettering with the color of your choice. The simple peel-and-stick application makes it easier than ever to customize your vehicle.
Premium Auto Styling vinyl overlays are precision-cut from durable, automotive-grade vinyl. When properly installed, these vinyl accents provide a clean, OEM-style appearance. Unlike many eBay or Amazon vendors, Premium Auto Styling overlays are designed and produced in the USA at our own facility.
Please note: Each letter is installed individually. If a letter is positioned incorrectly, part of the original emblem face may remain visible.
This kit includes three complete sets of OUTBACK lettering:
One set for the driver-side panel
One set for the passenger-side panel
One extra set to replace any letters damaged or misplaced during installation
Some customers have also used the extra set on the rear hatch. However, this is not the product’s intended application, and fitment or appearance on the rear hatch is not guaranteed. Your results may vary.
Note: Each letter is installed individually by hand. Using the tip of a snap blade or precision knife can help with positioning and alignment. Use caution when handling sharp tools near your vehicle.
Installing the vinyl is easy and requires only minimal tools. For best results, thoroughly clean the application surface and remove all wax, dirt, oils, and debris.
A clay bar and surface-preparation spray are highly recommended. Cleaning prep spray and clay bars are sold HERE.
Always install the overlays under suitable conditions:
Do not install in direct sunlight.
The recommended installation temperature is between 65°F and 72°F.
Vinyl may be installed between approximately 50°F and 90°F, but colder temperatures can make adhesion and installation more difficult.
Whenever possible, install in a temperature-controlled environment.
After cleaning the surface and reviewing the Dry Install Basics:
Carefully peel the first vinyl letter from its backing.
Place the letter on the tip of your blade or precision tool. This provides better visibility and more control than positioning it with your finger.
Align the vinyl with the corresponding factory letter on the vehicle.
Place the overlay and press it down firmly.
Repeat these steps for every letter until both side panels are complete.
