automotive vinyl cut to the appropriate overall size for the WRX roof, with the additional material
needed for positioning, trimming and wrapping the edges during installation.

recommended.

Professional Installation Recommended
Roof wrapping requires proper surface preparation, controlled stretching, heat management, trimming
and edge finishing. Because this material must be trimmed on the vehicle, professional installation
is recommended to reduce the risk of paint damage, visible seams, wrinkles, lifting or improper
material tension.
Shark-Fin Antenna Removal Recommended
For the cleanest possible finish, we recommend removing the factory roof antenna before installation.
This allows the vinyl to be installed beneath and around the antenna mounting area without an exposed
relief cut. Removal and reinstallation procedures may vary, so consult the factory service information
or a qualified professional.
Prepared by Premium Auto Styling
Each roof-wrap sheet is prepared to provide the material coverage needed for the specified vehicle.
The oversized format gives professional installers the flexibility to align the film, trim it to the
vehicle and finish the edges for a clean, OEM-style appearance.

application, trimming and finishing techniques used during a professional-style roof-wrap installation.
Installation Overview
This product uses a dry-application automotive wrap film. Do not use water, soap solution or surface
lube beneath the vinyl unless specifically required by the selected film manufacturer.
Recommended Tools
- Felt-edge automotive wrap squeegee
- Wrap-safe surface-preparation cleaner
- Clean, lint-free microfiber towels
- Heat gun with adjustable temperature
- Professional wrap knife and fresh blade
- Knifeless tape where appropriate
- Masking tape or magnets for initial positioning
- Appropriate tools for roof-antenna removal and reinstallation
Step 1: Inspect and Prepare the Roof
Inspect the roof for damaged, loose, repainted or uncured paint before installation. Thoroughly wash
and decontaminate the surface to remove dirt, wax, sealants, ceramic products, grease and road film.
Complete the final cleaning step with a wrap-safe preparation solution and allow the roof to dry fully.
Step 2: Remove or Prepare Around the Antenna
For the most seamless result, remove the shark-fin antenna according to the proper factory procedure.
If the antenna is not removed, a relief cut and visible seam may be required. Protect all exposed
openings while the antenna is removed.
Step 3: Position the Material
Center the oversized vinyl sheet over the roof while maintaining enough material on every side for
handling, trimming and edge wrapping. Use masking tape or wrap magnets to hold the material in its
intended position before removing the liner.
Step 4: Apply the Vinyl
Apply the vinyl using controlled squeegee strokes while managing the material’s tension. Use the
integrated air-release technology to work trapped air toward the nearest edge. Lift and reposition
the film when necessary instead of forcing wrinkles into the material.
Step 5: Conform the Material
Use controlled heat only when needed to soften and conform the film. Avoid overstretching, overheating
or concentrating excessive tension around corners, channels and the antenna opening. Textured finishes
require careful handling to preserve consistent texture and appearance.
Step 6: Trim and Wrap the Edges
Carefully trim the excess material while maintaining enough vinyl to finish the applicable roof edges.
Use extreme caution when cutting near painted surfaces, glass, weather seals and trim. Knifeless tape
should be used where practical to reduce direct blade contact with the vehicle.
Step 7: Post-Heat and Reassemble
Follow the wrap-film manufacturer’s specifications for post-heating all stretched areas, edges and
recessed sections. Reinstall the antenna and any removed trim using the correct procedures, then
confirm that all seals, fasteners and electrical connections are secure.
Step 8: Complete the Final Inspection
Inspect the entire roof for trapped air, wrinkles, distortion, overstretched film, unsecured edges or
excessive tension. Recheck all edges after the material has cooled and confirm that the antenna is
properly installed and sealed.
On-Vehicle Trimming Required
This product requires trimming directly on or near the vehicle. Improper blade use may permanently
damage paint, glass, seals or trim. If you are not experienced with automotive wrap-film installation,
have the material installed by a qualified professional.
Aftercare
Avoid washing the vehicle for at least 48 hours after installation. Hand washing is recommended.
Do not aim pressure washers directly at seams or edges, and avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive polishes
or waxes that are not approved for the selected vinyl finish.
Installation Difficulty: Professional
★★★★★
This installation requires experience with bulk automotive wrap film, heat management, material
tension, on-vehicle trimming, edge finishing and component removal. Professional installation is
strongly recommended.
