Dry Installation Guide

This wrap-film product is designed for dry installation. Do not apply water or surface lube to the adhesive. Carefully test-fit, position and anchor each overlay before gradually applying it across the factory headlight lens.

Step 1: Prepare the Headlights

Thoroughly clean both headlights to remove dirt, road film, wax, ceramic products and other contaminants. Use a clay bar when necessary, then complete the final cleaning step with a vinyl-safe surface-preparation solution. The lenses must be completely clean and dry.

Step 2: Check the Installation Conditions

Work in a clean, shaded and temperature-controlled environment. Never install the overlays in direct sunlight or on hot, cold or wet headlights. For the best results, install between 65°F and 80°F.

Step 3: Identify and Test-Fit the Overlays

Identify the driver-side and passenger-side pieces before removing them from the backing paper. Test-fit each piece to understand how the amber-delete and extended eyelid sections align with the factory headlight contours.

Step 4: Position and Anchor the Film

Peel back a small section of the backing paper and carefully position the overlay. Confirm the alignment around the amber reflector and along the upper edge of the headlight before lightly anchoring the film.

Step 5: Apply the Overlay

Begin applying the film from the anchored area using controlled, overlapping squeegee strokes. Gradually remove the backing paper as you work across the headlight. Apply the film slowly to prevent wrinkles, creases and trapped air.

Step 6: Conform the Eyelid Section

Use gentle heat where necessary to soften the material and help the extended eyelid section conform to the headlight’s bends and contours. Avoid overheating or overstretching the film, as excessive tension may distort the carbon-fiber pattern or affect fitment.

Step 7: Secure the Edges

Carefully inspect the perimeter and firmly press down every edge. Apply light finishing heat where needed, then use the squeegee or a soft microfiber towel to secure the film.

Step 8: Inspect and Allow to Cure

Inspect both overlays for trapped air, wrinkles or unsecured edges. Allow the adhesive to set in a warm, dry environment. Avoid washing the vehicle or exposing the overlays to unnecessary moisture for at least 24 hours after installation.
