DIY Installation Guide

Install the overlays in a clean, shaded and temperature-controlled area. Avoid applying vinyl to a hot reflector, in direct sunlight or over a contaminated surface.

1. Inspect the reflectors.
   Confirm that both factory reflectors are cool, undamaged and free from peeling coatings, wax, sealant or adhesive residue.
2. Clean the surfaces.
   Wash and dry each reflector, then remove remaining wax, oil and contamination using a surface-safe preparation solution and a clean microfiber towel.
3. Identify each overlay.
   Match the driver- and passenger-side pieces to their corresponding reflector before removing the release liner.
4. Establish your alignment.
   Peel back a small portion of the liner and lightly tack one end of the overlay. Confirm the edge spacing before applying full pressure.
5. Apply the film.
   Work gradually across the reflector using overlapping strokes with a clean felt-edge squeegee or wrapped fingertip. Avoid overstretching the precut shape.
6. Set the perimeter.
   Carefully press around every edge and confirm that the complete overlay is seated. Use controlled heat only when necessary; excessive heat can distort the film.
7. Complete the final inspection.
   Check the overlay from multiple angles and allow the adhesive to settle before washing the vehicle or exposing the installation to unnecessary moisture.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between smoke and gloss black?
Transparent smoke darkens the orange reflector while allowing some amber color and reflector texture to remain visible. Gloss black is opaque and creates a complete blackout.

Does one order include both sides?
Yes. Each kit includes one driver-side overlay and one passenger-side overlay in the finish you select.

Do I need to remove the factory reflectors?
No. The overlays are designed to install directly over the accessible exterior reflector surfaces.

Can I install the kit myself?
