Installation Guide
A wet installation is recommended because it allows the overlays to be repositioned during alignment. Because the headlights include curves and contours, take your time and use gentle heat when necessary to help the film conform.

- Vinyl-safe surface-preparation cleaner
- Clay bar, if needed
- Clean microfiber towels
- Heat gun or hair dryer
- Precision blade if minor trimming is required
Step 1: Prepare the Headlights
Thoroughly clean each headlight to remove dirt, road film, wax, ceramic products and other contaminants. Use a clay bar when necessary, then complete the final cleaning step with a vinyl-safe surface-preparation solution. The lenses must be completely clean before installation.
Step 2: Check the Installation Conditions
Install the overlays in a clean, shaded and temperature-controlled environment. Never apply the film in direct sunlight or to a hot, cold or wet lens. For the best results, we recommend an installation temperature between 65°F and 80°F. Installation may be possible between 50°F and 90°F, but additional care may be required.
Step 3: Prepare the Slip Solution
Use a vinyl-safe surface slip solution. If a professional solution is unavailable, mix approximately 16 ounces of clean water with one small drop of mild dish soap. Too much soap can reduce initial adhesion and extend the drying time.
Step 4: Position the Overlays
Identify the driver-side and passenger-side pieces before removing the backing. Lightly mist the headlight lens and adhesive side of the corresponding overlay. Position the film over the front face of the headlight and carefully check its alignment before securing it.
Step 5: Squeegee the Film
Once properly aligned, hold the film in position and begin squeegeeing from the center toward the outer edges. Use controlled, overlapping strokes to remove the slip solution and air trapped beneath the overlay.
Step 6: Conform and Secure the Film
Use gentle heat to soften the film and help it conform around the headlight’s curves, bends and corners. Work gradually and avoid concentrating excessive heat in one area. Do not overstretch the material, as this may distort its appearance or weaken adhesion.
Step 7: Inspect and Allow to Cure
Inspect the completed installation for trapped moisture, air pockets or unsecured edges. Allow the vehicle to remain in a warm, dry environment while any remaining moisture evaporates. Avoid washing the vehicle or exposing the overlays to unnecessary moisture for at least 24 hours.
Trimming & Installation Notice Some overlays may include a small amount of extra material to make positioning easier. Minor trimming may be required. Use extreme care around the factory lenses and surrounding painted surfaces. Professional installation is recommended if you are uncomfortable using a blade or heat source.
