Installation Overview

  1. Switch off the vehicle and exterior lights. Allow the original bulbs to cool and open the trunk.
  2. Follow the vehicle-specific access procedure. On the 2022–2026 WRX, carefully lower the inner trunk-lid liner to reach the lamp sockets.
  3. Remove the bulb sockets without pulling the wires. Replace the original bulbs with the T10 LEDs; never force the connection.
  4. Test both lights before reassembly. If a polarity-sensitive bulb does not illuminate, switch the lights off and reverse the bulb orientation. Refit the sockets and trim securely.
