Give your 2022–2026 Subaru WRX a darker, cleaner rear-end appearance
with our precision-cut Full Tail Light Tint Overlays in Medium Smoke.
This complete four-piece kit covers the red parking and brake-light lenses along with
the clear turn-signal lenses, reducing the amount of bright red and clear plastic visible
across the rear of your WRX.
The medium-smoke finish creates a more unified and aggressive appearance while preserving
the recognizable factory tail-light design. Each overlay is computer-cut from premium
automotive-grade tint film, test-fitted and produced at our California facility for
dependable vehicle-specific fitment and straightforward DIY installation.

Watch the Installation Video
Watch the installation video before applying your WRX tail-light tint overlays.
It demonstrates the recommended preparation, positioning, alignment and finishing
process for a clean installation.
Wet Installation Guide
A wet installation is recommended because it allows the film to be repositioned during
alignment. Experienced installers may also apply these overlays dry. Use only a fine mist
of slip solution, as excessive solution can extend the drying time and make the edges
more difficult to secure.
Recommended Tools
-
Felt-edge or hard application squeegee
-
Surface slip solution in a clean spray bottle
-
Vinyl-safe surface-preparation cleaner
-
Clay bar, if needed
-
Clean microfiber towels
-
Heat gun or hair dryer
-
Precision blade if minor trimming is required
Step 1: Prepare the Tail Lights
Thoroughly clean each tail-light lens to remove dirt, road film, wax, ceramic products
and other contaminants. Use a clay bar when necessary, then complete the final cleaning
step with a vinyl-safe surface-preparation solution. The lenses must be completely clean
before beginning the installation.
Step 2: Check the Installation Conditions
Work in a clean, shaded and temperature-controlled environment. Never apply the overlays
in direct sunlight or to hot, cold or wet lenses. For the best results, install between
65°F and 80°F. Installation may be possible between 50°F and 90°F,
but additional care may be required.
Step 3: Prepare the Slip Solution
Use a vinyl-safe surface slip solution. If a professional solution is unavailable,
mix approximately 16 ounces of clean water with one small drop of mild dish soap.
Use only a fine mist—less solution is better for this installation.
Step 4: Identify and Position the Overlays
Identify all four pieces and match each one to its corresponding driver-side or
passenger-side lens section. Lightly mist the lens and adhesive side of the overlay,
then position the film and carefully confirm its alignment before securing it.
Step 5: Squeegee the Film
Hold the overlay in position and begin squeegeeing from the center toward the outer
edges. Use controlled, overlapping strokes to push the slip solution and trapped air
out from beneath the film.
Step 6: Conform and Secure the Edges
Apply gentle heat where necessary to soften the film and help it conform around bends,
corners and lens contours. Avoid overheating or overstretching the material. Continue
removing moisture and firmly press all edges once alignment is complete.
Step 7: Inspect and Allow to Cure
Inspect each completed overlay for trapped moisture, air pockets or unsecured edges.
Allow the vehicle to remain in a warm, dry environment while the remaining moisture
evaporates. Avoid washing the vehicle or exposing the overlays to unnecessary moisture
for at least 24 hours.
Trimming & Installation Notice
Some overlays may include a small amount of additional material to make alignment easier.
Minor trimming may be required. Use extreme care around the factory lenses and surrounding
painted surfaces. Professional installation is recommended if you are uncomfortable using
a blade or heat source.
Installation Difficulty: 1/5
This is a beginner-friendly installation suitable for first-time DIY installers.
Carefully prepare the lenses, use a light mist of slip solution and take your time
during alignment—piece of cake.
