Anyone familiar with classic Toyota Land Cruisers has likely encountered Toyota’s early emblem—commonly known among enthusiasts as the “TEQ” logo.
Although the characters are often interpreted in English as the letters T, E, and Q, the design is based on Japanese Katakana. The three characters represent the combined sounds used to spell Toyota: To, Yo, and Ta.

Universal Bedside Placement
This is a large exterior graphic rather than an overlay for a molded factory component. Exact placement is selected by the installer. Before installation, confirm that your truck has a clean, smooth and sufficiently large bedside area for the approximately 14-inch-wide graphic.

Vehicle-safe surface-preparation cleaner
Clean microfiber towel
Masking tape for measuring and temporary positioning
Heat gun on a controlled low setting, or warm sunlight for post-heating
Tape measure or ruler for matching both sides
Dry Installation Guide
Clean the bedside. Wash and completely dry the application area. Remove dirt, wax, grease, ceramic residue and other surface contamination that could interfere with adhesion.
Measure both sides. Select the desired placement and use consistent body lines or reference points to position the driver- and passenger-side graphics evenly.
Create an alignment hinge. Leave the decal on its backing paper, position it on the truck and secure one edge or the center with masking tape. Step back and confirm the alignment before exposing the adhesive.
Apply the decal. Peel the backing paper away gradually. Use firm, overlapping squeegee strokes to press the decal onto the bedside from the secured area outward.
Remove the transfer tape. Slowly peel the paper transfer tape back over itself at a low angle. If any part of the graphic lifts, lay the transfer tape back down and apply additional pressure.
Post-heat and inspect. Carefully apply gentle heat and firm pressure across the installed graphic, paying particular attention to narrow points and edges. Avoid overheating the vinyl.
Installation Conditions
Install on a cool, dry surface and avoid direct sunlight during placement. Approximately 65°F–72°F is ideal. Extremely hot or cold panels can make positioning and adhesion more difficult.
