Ornamental Detail That Comes Alive After Dark
Crimson Cathedral combines automotive lighting with elaborate gothic-inspired artwork. An intricate black filigree design is printed onto transparent film and positioned over the red sections of the factory taillights.
During the day, the pattern adds a dark ornamental treatment to the rear of the vehicle. When the taillights illuminate, red light remains visible through the transparent spaces between the printed lines, creating a dramatic illuminated lace effect.
The clear center sections of the factory taillight remain visually separate from the printed red-lens treatment.

Installation Overview

Inspect the taillights.
Confirm that both factory lenses are cool, intact and free of cracks, peeling coatings or damaged surfaces.

Clean the lenses thoroughly.
Wash away dirt, dust and road film. Complete the final preparation with an automotive-safe surface cleaner and a clean microfiber towel.

Identify each overlay.
Match the printed pieces with their corresponding driver-side or passenger-side taillight locations before beginning.

Test-position the artwork.
Confirm the orientation of the filigree and its alignment with the red taillight section before exposing or setting the adhesive.

Select dry or wet installation.
Apply directly to the clean lens or lightly mist the application area with your water-and-soap solution to assist with positioning.

Align the overlay.
Position the film carefully along the intended red lens section while keeping the artwork properly oriented.

Smooth the film.
Work gradually across the overlay using overlapping strokes. Push trapped air—or installation solution during a wet application—toward the nearest edge.

Set the edges.
Apply firm final pressure around the complete perimeter and inspect the film for lifted edges, trapped moisture or misalignment.

Repeat on the opposite side.
Install the matching overlay set on the second taillight and compare both sides for a coordinated appearance.

Inspect the lighting.
Operate the vehicle’s rear lighting and confirm that all required lighting functions remain visible and operate normally.
Wet-Installation Drying
A wet-installed overlay may initially show light moisture beneath the film. Allow the installation to dry completely before washing the vehicle or exposing the overlay edges to high-pressure water.
