Reverse Light Smoke Tint Face Overlay | 2018-2023 Ford Mustang

This pre-cut smoke tint product takes your clear reverse light and blends it into the diffuser for a more aggressive factory OEM look without drastically affecting the light output. You will find that many other products out there only cover the front face of the reverse light lens, or are sent with a lot of bulk material making it fairly difficult to conform around the harsh edges. The difference with our overlay is that it covers the face and the top side of your reverse light in one piece with a very easy install process and no trimming required. Our reverse light overlay does not cover the sides being that this area is much more difficult to get tint to lay correctly, and are main objective is to always create as easy of an install as possible for even beginner DIYers. INSTALL GUIDE: 

TOOLS REQUIRED: ***PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, and HEAT GUN or Warm Sunny Day to Post Heat the product

WET INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your ride is very easy and only requires minimal tools. What you'll need: lubrication spray solution, squeegee and a heat gun. You can make a lubrication spray solution at home by using a spy bottle filled with water and mixing it with 1 drop of dish soap or buy our PRE-MIX SOLUTION SOLD HERE, You'll also need an application squeegee. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed as low as 50 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). 

CONTINUED: After the surface is clean and you have read and completed "WET INSTALL BASICS" Identify the difference between the top portion of the overlay and the face portion. This overlay is created to lay on the face of the reverse light and the top edge of the tint should flap over on the top edge. There are two sets of top corners of the tint overlay, the (B) corners are the ones you will align with the top corners of the face of the reverse light.

Start by removing the tint from the backing paper, lightly mist the adhesive side of the tint, as well as the surface the tint will be applied to with water. Align (B) corners to the top corners of the face of the reverse light. Once aligned, with a pro-felt squeegee use firm pressure on the tint starting from the center moving outwards to lay the face of the overlay. Continue until all air and moisture is removed from underneath the tint. Now lay (A) corners into place, this portion of the tint should simply lay into place giving the reverse light the proper coverage it needs without any trimming required. Again using firm pressure with a squeegee, lay the top portion of the tint the same way, start from the center and move outwards.

Once complete, post heat the entire product, this is to insure adhesion to the surface and will let you know if any areas of the tint need to be squeegeed any more. After that is done, the install is complete.
