INSTALL GUIDE
TOOLS REQUIRED: PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, HEAT GUN or Warm Sunny Day to Post Heat the product
DRY INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is very easy and only requires minimal tools. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays including the bottom of the side skirt, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 65 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). Vinyl has a more difficult time conforming and staying in place in colder temperatures though, which is why we recommend waiting until temperatures warm up or install in a temperature controlled environment.
FULL INSTALL: After the surface is clean as well as the bottom of the side skirt and you have read and completed "DRY INSTALL BASICS", remove the vinyl from the backing paper without letting it touch the ground. Contact with any dirty surface will contaminate the adhesive backing.
Note, on each end you will notice the vinyl overlay goes straight down, this excess section is to go around the edge and under the side skirt. Do not use that bottom corner to line up your overlay. Use corner (A) as shown in the product pictures above rather than corner (B) to align the product. Once aligned, follow the top edge of the vinyl along the indentation in the side skirt until you reach the other corner. Be sure not to stretch the vinyl as you lay it into place or you may get to the other end with more excess than intended.
Once the vinyl is laid completely on the surface, begin from the center and squeegee it down, removing any air from underneath the vinyl.
Now, using the excess vinyl on the bottom, tuck it around the bottom edge and make sure it is firmly applied. Cut any left over excess you do not wish to have on the bottom side of the side skirt.
Now, post heat the overlay, simply by letting your vehicle sit out in the warm sun for a approximately 30 minutes to an hour, or use a heat gun to speed up the process.
Install Complete.
