This vinyl overlay was created to simply lay on the face of the hatch pillar the piece on the side of the hatch just below the hatch spoiler. Made from automotive grade 3D textured carbon fiber. INSTALL GUIDE
TOOLS REQUIRED: PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, HEAT GUN or Warm Sunny Day to Post Heat the product
DRY INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is very easy and only requires minimal tools. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 65 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). Vinyl has a more difficult time conforming and staying in place in colder temperatures though, which is why we recommend waiting until temperatures warm up or install in a temperature controlled environment.
FULL INSTALL: After the surface is clean and you have read and completed DRY INSTALL BASICS, Line up the top edge of the vinyl to the top edge of the pillar, proceed by laying the rest of the vinyl onto the pillar while aligning it to the edge and matching the inner curve of the pillar. Once placed, starting from the center of the overlay, use firm pressure with a pro-felt squeegee and push the air out from underneath the vinyl to the outer edges.
No trimming required.
Post heat the overlay, simply by letting your vehicle sit out in the warm sun for a approximately 30 minutes or use a heat gun to speed up the process.
