INSTALL GUIDE

MINOR TRIMMING REQUIRED DEPENDING ON PLACEMENT

TOOLS REQUIRED: PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, HEAT GUN or Warm Sunny Day to Post Heat the product

PART 1 - DRY INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is very easy and only requires minimal tools. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 65 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). Vinyl has a more difficult time conforming and staying in place in colder temperatures though, which is why we recommend waiting until temperatures warm up or install in a temperature controlled environment.

PART 2: Once you have completed part one - dry install basics, you can move onto this step. Start by identifying the separate pieces of the kit. You should have 6 pieces total in your kit that are all numbered. Listed as the following:

1. Driver Side - Front Door Bottom

2. Driver Side - Rear Door Bottom

3. Driver Side - Rear Quarter Window Bottom

4. Passenger Side - Front Door Bottom

5. Passenger Side - Rear Door Bottom

6. Passenger Side - Rear Quarter Window Bottom

Note: Each piece may require minor trimming depending on your placement of the vinyl.

Start by aligning each piece to the top edge of the chrome pieces on the vehicle. This will eliminate any chrome from showing along the top by starting at this point. Follow along the top edge while you lay the vinyl into place. Once you have confirmed placement, use your fingers with a wrap glove or a squeegee and lay the vinyl by starting in the center of the overlay and working your way outwards, this will minimize the chance of creating an air pocket anywhere underneath the vinyl. As stated above some trimming may be required depending on the placement of the vinyl itself, typically on the ends of each chrome section. When trimming, make sure to be using a new sharp blade to get the best finish possible. All that is left to do is use a heat gun to post heat the material, or leave the vinyl in the warm sun for a couple of hours to set completely and you install is complete.
