Use a squeegee to push out and remove any excess air bubbles from underneath the vinyl. Start by peeling the vinyl from the backing paper while making sure not to stretch the cut-out area for the side fin. Hold the overlay by the edges nearest to the cut-out while letting your top and bottom section fall freely. With your fingers, lay the edge of the vinyl around the fin only. Make sure everything in that area is laid before continuing. This area is your hinge point and will dictate how the rest of the overlay falls into place. Keep the top of the overlay off of the light as you gradually lay it in place starting from your hinge, then moving to the inner corner of the tail light nearest to the trunk.
