Premium Auto Styling brings another way to customize your vehicle with our Premium Air-Release Mid-Smoke Tint. This Premium Tint Film features air-release technology, just like our premium wrap films. It will give you a stylish look on any of your exterior lights or reflectors without having to open up your lights! This bulk tint can be used to fully tint your headlights, tail lights, or any other light or reflector (some people even use it to smoke out their chrome trims to give it a black chrome look).
Tools Needed:
Pro Felt or Hard Squeegee (you can use a room key card or credit card in a pinch)
Blade (only necessary for overlays that have extra material that needs to be trimmed)
Heat Gun (not necessary for difficulty levels 1 or 2, but recommended for all installations)
For the Best results we highly recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our bulk tint . Cleaning consists of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process we recommend using a clay bar and prep spray. CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE).
Before you begin installation of any tint film please make sure you are working in the right conditions. You should never install our products in direct sunlight. Also never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature range for installing vinyl is between 65 and 80 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 50 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F).
To begin, you first want to start by positioning the tint film sheet into place on your vehicle (you can cut down the tint film to a size that is 2-3 inches longer and wider than the area for installation). Use a squeegee and start from the center and begin pushing the air from beneath the overlay toward the edges - sometimes you may need a heat gun will be needed to help conform the material to aggressive bends and or corners.
TRIMMING: minor trimming is required to the shape of the light or vehicle surface.
Once you've completed the install we recommend that you leave your car in the sun for up to 30 minutes just to let the adhesive set, if you would like you can use a heat gun to speed up the cure process.
