INSTALL GUIDE
TOOLS REQUIRED: PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, SPRAY BOTTLE WITH WATER, HEAT GUN
INSTALL: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is only requires minimal tools. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Tint can be installed in temperatures as low as 65 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). Vinyl has a more difficult time conforming and staying in place in colder temperatures though, which is why we recommend waiting until temperatures warm up or install in a temperature controlled environment.
After the surface is clean and you have read and completed the preparation portion of the install. Start by misting the surface you will be applying the overlay to with water, then also mist the adhesive side of the tint. Now begin peeling the vinyl from the backing paper while making sure not to stretch the tint or warp the edges. Start with the top corner of the headlight, the corner that faces towards the rear of the vehicle. Tack the top corner then gradually lay the vinyl down following the top edge nearest to the hood until you reach the end of the overlay. If you need to reposition your first corner, the water on the surface will allow you to carefully shift it into place. During the alignment process you shouldn't be pushing the tint into place or squeegeeing it down just yet. We recommend focusing on the top portion first, completing it then moving to the side portion after. Once the entire overlay is aligned you can use firm pressure with the squeegee to remove any and all air and moisture from underneath the vinyl.
Once complete, post heat the entire product or leave your vehicle outside in the warm sun for at least 30 minutes. Check to make sure you do not have any left over air pockets and your install is complete.
