INSTALL GUIDE
This product is a DRY install, where as the Smoke Tint version is a WET install.
DRY INSTALL: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is very easy and only requires minimal tools. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 50 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F).
INSTALL GUIDE: After you have read and completed "DRY INSTALL BASICS" continue with the following.
Let's begin, You’ll first want to position the vinyl into place on your vehicle's headlight. Start by aligning the overlay to the top corner of the amber reflector in the headlight. The corner of the overlay should sit just above the amber reflector in the headlight, while also lining up with the bottom edge from the side of the headlight on the side all the way to the front. Make sure you place the overlay so that the bottom edge falls right on the outer bottom edge of the headlight, you should have only a millimeter of excess when you get to the inner corner that faces your front emblem. This tiny bit of excess should be heated and conformed to that corner for the best finished look after you have confirmed placement. Once the overlay is set in place, start from the center with firm pressure using a squeegee, and begin pushing the air from beneath the overlay toward the edges. A heatgun is recommended to conform the edges of the overlay. Once you've completed the install we recommend that you leave your car in the sun for up to 30 minutes just to let everything dry, another option would be to use a heat gun to speed up the post heating/drying process. If placed correctly no trimming should be required. This product was designed to fit without alteration.
