2013-2017 HYUNDAI GENESIS COUPE

The stock headlights on the Gen Coupe, are pretty big, bigger than most, and with this kit, you can really change up the look of your front end. These Smoked tint overlays will give your Genesis a sleek stealth appearance that looks great on both the track and the street. This DIY install kit is pre-cut to be slightly oversized, this allows the installer to easily heat, stretch and mold the material to the contoured area of the taillight. Simply apply the tint entirely and trim it to fit when complete. This oversized method is key to a successful installation, a perfectly sized overlay would be to hard to accurately apply over this contoured lens.  

INSTALL GUIDE: 

TOOLS REQUIRED: ***PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, NEW SHARP WRAP BLADE and HEAT GUN

WET INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your ride is very easy and only requires minimal tools. What you'll need: lubrication spray solution, squeegee and a heat gun. You can make a lubrication spray solution at home by using a spy bottle filled with water and mixing it with 1 drop of dish soap or buy our PRE-MIX SOLUTION SOLD HERE, You'll also need an application squeegee. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed as low as 50 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). 

CONTINUED: After the surface is clean and you have read and completed "WET INSTALL BASICS" remove the tint from the backing paper, promptly misting the adhesive side of the tint with water as well as the surface it will be applied to. Remember the material is oversized to make installation easier, so simply place the material where it covers the entirety of the light,  Once you are happy with your placement, use a squeegee with firm pressure to  lay the material into place while you continue to remove any and all air and moisture from underneath the tint itself and then proceed to post heat the product when you get to areas that need to conform around the bends. Do not heat for too long as it can damage the tint itself. When using a heat gun 2-3 seconds on the area you are working should be more than enough to get the conformability required to stretch or manipulate the vinyl into place. Continue laying the tint with your squeegee. Then once completely installed on the headlight, use a heat gun and be sure to heat the surface and edges of the tint to insure adhesion. Now simply trim the excess material around the headlight, then do one final pass with the heat gun to post heat the product and your install is complete.
