This Wrap Vinyl overlay simply lines up to the back inner edge and the rest falls into place. Very little vinyl experience is required, but it does require some patience. DRY INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is very easy and only requires minimal tools. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 65 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). Vinyl has a more difficult time conforming and staying in place in colder temperatures though, which is why we recommend waiting until temperatures warm up or install in a temperature controlled environment.
FULL INSTALL: After the surface is clean and you have read and completed "DRY INSTALL BASICS" Start by removing the vinyl from the backing paper. Align the back edge to the inner most back edge of the indent in the front bumper. Make sure the edge is aligned properly and not cocked one way or the other as it will throw off where the rest of the lays. Once placement is confirmed, start from the center of the overlay, using firm pressure with a pro-felt squeegee, gradually move your way outwards from the center. Continue until all air is removed from underneath the vinyl. Remember this material is wrap vinyl meaning it is far more forgiving than sticker vinyl. If you come to a point where you think you might end up creasing the vinyl, lift up that section before continuing, and then proceed again with the squeegee carefully. Once the vinyl is completely layed into place, post heat the entire area. Using a heat gun will speed up the process.
