2016-2018 CHEVY CAMARO - Front Bumper Accent Overlay Blackout

- Gloss Black, Satin Black , Textured CF, Shadow Black Vinyl Wrap

This custom designed front bumper overlay was created to change up the look of your front end, available in both gloss black or satin black. Also manufactured with high quality, automotive grade vinyl wrap. Not sticker vinyl. This vinyl is vastly different from your typical decal/sticker vinyl. This material is easily conformable and because of its air release technology simple to place and re-position, as well as install when squeegeeing it into place. Unlike most ebay or amazon vendors, Premium Auto Styling vinyl overlays are designed and produced here in the USA in our own facility. We design and test fit all products to ensure fitment guaranteeing you the best results . Basically, if they don’t work on our cars, they’re not going to end up on yours. If you are looking for an inexpensive styling modification, or you just want to change up the factory look, it's a great idea to checkout this vinyl overlay.

NOTE: This is for the SS, 1LE, 1LT Bumper ONLY, the ZL1 bumper is different.

INSTALL GUIDE

TOOLS REQUIRED: PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, HEAT GUN or Warm Sunny Day to Post Heat the product

PART 1 - DRY INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is very easy and only requires minimal tools. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 65 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). Vinyl has a more difficult time conforming and staying in place in colder temperatures though, which is why we recommend waiting until temperatures warm up or install in a temperature controlled environment.

PART 2: Once you have completed part one - dry install basics, you can move onto this step.

Note: This overlay is made so no trimming should be required, all that is required is to tuck the vinyl behind the fog bezel. If you would like to make the installation even easier, you can remove the fog bezels for better access to the area you will be tucking the vinyl. Start by peeling the overlay off of the backing paper, while being mindful not to let the overlay stick to itself.

Alignment: Start by placing your top inner corner nearest to the top corner of the fog bezel. This overlay is made with just enough excess so you should be placing it over the gap between the fog bezel and the bumper so it can later be tucked into that recess so you do not see any body color on your bumper. Roughly 5mm.

Once you have placed the top corner temporarily place your outer top corner, then take your bottom inner corner and make sure the overlay is positioned to where your bottom left corner has the same amount of excess as your top inner corner. Again this excess will be tucked into the recess gap between the fog bezel and the bumper itself. Now if the outer top corner isn't already placed exactly where it should fall, gently pick it back up and place it where it should fall, you should see where the body line rounds off and you can match the corner there. Before moving onto the next step, make sure your overlay is flat at this point in time. You should not have any wrinkles or trapped air pockets. If you do, attend to these areas by simply re-lifting these trouble areas. Also double check your inner excess edge, it should be obvious if you will be getting full coverage at this point.

Now that you're happy with your placement, use a squeegee, starting in the center of the overlay moving towards the outer edges with firm pressure to push out any air from underneath the vinyl as you are applying it to the surface.

Go back over the entirety of the overlay with a squeegee to insure all air has been removed from underneath the vinyl, and then all that is left to do is use a heat gun to post heat the material, or leave the vinyl in the warm sun for a couple of hours to set completely.
