2016-2019 Honda Civic Coupe - Tail Light Combo Product

Take your tail light up a notch with our custom bundle of two products, our Tail Light with Custom Cut Out Accent Vinyl Overlay that gives the clear portion of your tail light an OEM+ look by continuing the lines that exist in the tail light next to it instead of abruptly stopping like it does from the factory. In addition we've created a pre-cut tint product that only covers the reverse light portion of the tail light and is smoked to give you an aggressive look. The smoke tint is sized to cover the opening ontop of the black accent overlay with about 1mm of bleed so you are insured coverage. With both of these products combined you end up with a result that really takes your rear end to the next level. While also keeping the install as easy as it gets, our install guide helps with placement and our guide below walks you through the wet install process. Unlike most ebay or amazon vendors, Premium Auto Styling vinyl and tint overlays are designed and produced here in the USA in our own facility. INSTALL GUIDE

TOOLS REQUIRED: PRO FELT SQUEEGEE, HEAT GUN or Warm Sunny Day to Post Heat the product

DRY INSTALL BASICS: Getting the vinyl installed on your vehicle is very easy and only requires minimal tools. For Best results we recommend cleaning the surface that you'll be applying our overlays too, cleaning should consist of removal of any waxes, dirt and or debris. For the cleaning process a clay bar is highly recommended: CLEANING PREP SPRAY & CLAY BAR's SOLD HERE). Before you begin installation of any vinyl overlays please make sure you are working in the right conditions, you should never install vinyl in direct sunlight, never apply vinyl in temperatures that are neither too hot nor too cold. Our in-house expert installers say the optimum temperature for installing vinyl is between 65 and 72 degrees (F). Vinyl can be installed in temperatures as low as 65 degrees (F), and up to 90 degrees (F). Vinyl has a more difficult time conforming and staying in place in colder temperatures though, which is why we recommend waiting until temperatures warm up or install in a temperature controlled environment.

FULL INSTALL: After the surface is clean and you have read and completed DRY INSTALL BASICS, Start with the black accent piece TL160 and begin by removing the vinyl from the backing paper while keeping the clear transfer tape attached, this will insure that the custom cut out does not lose its shape during placement. Now for the easy part, simply align the bottom corners and the bottom edge along the bottom edge of the clear portion of the tail light. Once Aligned the rest of the overlay should fall right into place. Lay the material while using firm pressure with a squeegee, go over the entire product making sure the vinyl has adhered fully. Now take a corner of the transfer tape and begin to slowly peel it back on itself. This will help decrease the pull it has on the vinyl as opposed to pulling the transfer tape off straight towards yourself. If an area begins to lift while pulling the transfer tape, simply lay it back down, squeegee again and proceed with removing the transfer tape. Tuck or trim around the edges if your placement has caused any excess vinyl to fall just over the edges of the clear portion of the tail light. Post heat the material and the install of the first piece is complete.

Now remove the corresponding tint overlay (RVL128) to the side you are working on and place it in the clear section of the tail light where the reverse light is, which is the bottom section of the clear portion of the tail light. The top section is your turn signal. Now once you have aligned your product proceed in the same fashion as you did with the first piece, using firm pressure with a squeegee, push out any air and or moisture out from under the tint, then post heat the material and the entire install is done.
